Kari has cultivated a richly meditative body of work over more than 30 years with a deep focus on the interplay of light, sky and time.

Grounded in rigorous academic training, long term professional practice, and overseas residencies, she has shown widely in solo and group exhibitions, and earned numerous awards. Kari is represented in major collections in Australia and abroad.

Her work offers poetic meditations on how transient weather and atmospheric conditions shape our experience of place, revealing beauty in shifting skies, subtle light and ephemeral moods.

Kari completed a PhD from Monash University in 2016 researching the depiction of atmospheric phenomena in studio practice

Kari has been selected as a finalist in numerous award and specially curated exhibitions in Australia, China, Korea, Iceland, Italy & Japan. Her work is widely represented in both public and private collections within Australia and globally, including New York, USA

Grants & Artist Residencies

Kari has been awarded travel grants and artist residencies in Italy, Sardinia, Iceland and Australia.
